"Some general concepts in fluid mechanics for single-phase-fluid flow"

Select, important concepts in the field of fluid mechanics will be presented informally for discussion. Distinctions of the two limiting flow regimes, boundary layer theory, aerodynamics concepts, stokes flow characteristics, turbulence modeling and stability evaluations will be considered or as much as time permits. The presentation is intended as an overview to show the general organization of topics in the field of fluid mechanics.

Please join us for light refreshments outside WSC 109 at 4:15.
