“Navigating in Hyperspace”
Abstract: Energy "hypersurfaces" are at the very core of molecular reaction dynamics. This talk will introduce the concept of energy hypersurfaces, their generation, their features, and how one orients oneself and navigates along trajectories in molecular hyperspace. In addition, current research being conducted in the Department of Chemistry which utilizes these hyperspace trajectories will be discussed.
