Essay I: The Elements and their Machinery
The goal of this essay is to illustrate the pendulous nature of the ethos and how it seems to
swing from and to spiritual and rational cosmologies. Special emphasis is put on the history of cosmology, Parmenides, Heraclitus
and the Elements.
Essay II: Correlations
Between Cosmological and Socio-political Thought
The goal of this essay is to illustrate the positive correlation between cosmological thought and socio-political thought. It is argued that the
structure of cosmological thought trickles down to influence the structure
of sociopolitical thought; which can spring back to influence cosmological
thought, as it has done with Quantum Cosmology. Slight emphasis is put on the
pendulous nature of the ethos; it swings from and to spiritual and rational
cosmologies.
