ABSTRACT
Nuclear fusion holds the promise of providing a virtually unlimited source
of energy for the world. In essence, fusion "burns water" to produce energy. Devices that attempt to use fusion to generate energy rely on the
principles of plasma physics. This talk will review the various devices that are being studied and discuss the difficulties encountered with these
devices in the quest for fusion. |
