Education: Ph.D. in Physics, Carnegie Mellon University, 1995, thesis title: 'Dynamical Model of Quantum Measurement.' M.S. in Physics, Carnegie Mellon University, 1983. B.S. with Honors in Physics, magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, Tulane University, 1981.
Biographical information: I was born in Madrid, Spain, but my ancestors are mostly from the Basque Country, and also from other parts of Spain, and from the Philippines. My home towns have been Madrid (until age 10), New Orleans (until age 21, and always...), Pittsburgh (until age 36), and now Macon. I have enjoyed traveling in Europe, in North, Central, and South America, in the Caribbean, and in the US. Jose L Balduz Jr
Hobbies: Besides playing chess or penny-ante poker, reading sci-fi and fantasy, and listening to rock music (mostly from the 60s and 70s), I enjoy a rousing fantasy or horror role-playing game, such as Dungeons & Dragons, Gothic Earth, or Call of Chuthulu...  And I am still a big Steelers and Penguins fan!
